(Also note, I may not use the whole key in every chapter, maybe two or three. )

"What do you know of the realms, y/n?" Loki asked sitting next to you, his eyes seemed filled with something you couldn't quite place your finger on, eagerness, maybe?
You shook your head, other than the planets in the solar system you didn't know much, and you hadn't given the prospect of other worlds out there, you just never really had thought about it, well, until now at least.
He looked disappointed, a little annoyed even, and sighed quite loudly, "This is going to be much more tedious than I thought." He grumbled, and there was that pretty little urge to hit him again.
"Hey, I didn't ask to get insults thrown at me because I don't know of your pretty little 'realms'. To tell the truth, my dear, I really don't give a damn!" You didn't mean it, and cringed, especially when he took your shoulders, his grip cold and rock hard, his face dangerously close to yours.
"Listen, you ignorant human, there are many things in this realm, things that are greater than the power I sensed in you, many more that could actually appreciate it. There is a reason why I chose you, and that should be an honor." His voice was serious, and behind it was an unspoken threat, that if you didn't cooperate he'd kill you, which still you had no intention of doing, you had no desire to find out what sort of supernatural powers you had, life was already stressful enough, and you had seen enough movies to know what weird powers did to you. You had no ambition to turn your life into a movie that either ended up having your powers taken away or killed.
A knock on the door startled both you and Loki, except you calmed when your father's voice came through the door, "Honey, dinner's ready."
"Okay! I'll be down in a second!" You yelled, standing halfway up before Loki pulled you back down again.
"Oh, no you don't."
You looked at him, completely dumbfounded, "If I don't go out there, they will break that door down to make sure I'm alright. And I take it you probably don't want to be interrogated by my parents?"
He shook his head, "No I don't. But I also don't want to sit up here alone."
That sounded hilarious, and you had to stifle a laugh, "Is Mr. God of Mischief afraid of being alone in a big scary house?"
"Never mind, just make it quick." The look in his eyes was a bit unnerving, but you ignored it for the most part.
"Whatever you say, scaredy cat."
"Don't ever call me that again."
You shrugged as you unlocked the door, easing it open, and closing it shut behind you as you walked down the hallway to the kitchen. It wasn't a small hallway, it sort of opened up just after the door to your room, and before you went down the stairs the whole room opened, banisters lining the whole way down, overlooking the giant family room, and somewhat into the kitchen. My parents were already there, talking happily, looking up at me when a step creaked.
"How is your report going?" My father asked questioningly, "I thought I heard talking up there."
Damn, okay, lie, it isn't a big deal, and really, it isn't like there's some half crazy Norse god up in my room, psh, what are you talking about!?
"I was talking to myself."
"Really? Because I thought I heard a guy's voice."
"Oh, that, I was talking with my boyfriend on speaker," You tried to shrug it off like it was nothing, and slid into the empty seat on the opposite side of the table.
Your mother decided to interject, "We said not to be talking on the phone while you were doing homework, y/n, how do we know you aren't cheating?"
You shook your head, staring down at your plate, "Mom, you know I wouldn't do that."
She made an eh sound, and you looked up sharply at her, narrowing your eyes slowly at her, why were you so made about this? It wasn't like you at all? Was Loki influencing you? That bastard.
"What the hell was that supposed to mean, mother?" You growled forcing your hand up to your mouth the seconds the words came out. Oh God, if it was Loki you'd kill him and feed his corpse to a bear.
Both of your parents looked up at you, shock on their faces, mixed with a little outrage of course. "Watch your mouth, y/n." They both said low, their faces made of stone.
"I swear I didn't know where that came from."
"It came from out of your mouth, that's where." Your father hissed, "Be quiet."
That made you angry, even without Loki interfering, and you shot up, knocking the chair into the wall behind you, "Okay, that was completely uncalled for, you don't get to be a smart ass! And you always go on about not making snarky remarks. You just completely voided your own rules!"
Without another word you went back upstairs, pounding back up the stairs like the hounds of Hell were at your heels. It really wasn't like you to throw a temper tantrum, but really after all that had happened today, you were at least allowed some sort of rage fit.
Loki stared at you openly when you slammed the door and locked it behind you, a little bit of genuine concern showing on his face, "I'm guessing that didn't go as you thought?"
"Quite the opposite actually."
"I'm sorry."
You glared at him, "For what? Making me act like a complete bitch, or because I had the best conversation in the world with my parents?"
He sighed, looking to the side, "I can tell you aren't in the best mood…"
"Damn right."
He stood, standing behind you, which just happened to be in front of a giant full length mirror, placing you hands on your hips like before, whispering softly in your ear, meeting your eyes through the mirror, "But to tell you the truth, anger looks beautiful on you."

Loki x Reader: Chicago (pt 1)
“Darcy! Stop calling me!” you hissed into your phone.
“What? Where are you?” her voice was loud enough that people nearby looked at you.
“I’m at the library.” You hissed again, your teeth gritted. You waved and mouthed ‘sorry’s to the people glaring at you through the bookshelves.
“The library?! This is a Saturday afternoon! You should be at the apartment picking out clothes to go clubbing in! What the hell! Do I have to come there and get you? I do have to. No, don’t answer, I’m coming to get you.” She hung up the phone as you tried to sputter a reply at her.

Things took a turn for the worse when Throin made the decision to stop for the evening in a place that Gandalf specifically disapproved of. You stuck close to your mentor and found yourself agreeing with him, this place gave you a bad feeling. There was nothing odd about that as you normally agreed with Gandalf, it was what happened next that drew the interest of many of the company.
As soon as Thorin began to curse the elves and all their kind you spun and walked off, Gandalf looking after you worriedly before continuing his conversation with Thorin. None of them, aside from probably Gandalf, had ever seen you that way, the expression on yo

I stood on the other side of the street, she’s probably not gonna come after me. I looked over to where she was and was surprised with what I saw. She was running across the street. She barely missed some of the cars that almost hit her. But, just as she was about to get to the side of the street that I was on (I didn’t run away for some reason, I just stood there...), a loud honking noise came from my left, it was a truck. It seemed like it wouldn’t be able to slow down or anything or else other people in other cars would get killed. I do

.... Okay, it took three days, but here it is!! I swear, I get so happy, almost too happy when I get the chance to sit down and write this... Yeah, there is a little more cussing in this... Do you think I should put a warning on this? I don't wanna get into no trouble.... Heh, heh. I probably won't, because ya know, it isn't like I'm dropping the f-bomb like the book I'm reading (five of them in TWO pages!!) Yes... I know, just a little bit of close togetherness with Loki... And I PROMISE the next part will be up SOON! I hate waiting for new chapters, so I won't torture you for too long... Anything I could do better?

(LOKI DOES NOT BELONG TO ME. I DID NOT CREATE HIS CHARACTER IN ANY WAY. EXCEPT WRITING HIM, BUT THAT'S DIFFERENT.) I don't own any of the characters.
